Michael L. Munger, MD, FAAFP, is president. Munger is a family physician in Overland Park, Kansas. He is currently in full-time practice at Saint Luke's Medical Group, where he also serves as medical director for Saint Luke's South Primary Care. The group has 100 members at 14 different sites, all of which have received Level 3 medical home designation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance. He formerly served as medical director for Sweet Life at Grand Court Assisted Living, also in Overland Park.
John Meigs, Jr., MD, FAAFP, is board chair. He is a family physician in Centreville, Alabama. Meigs was in private practice in Centreville, his home town, from 1982 to 2013. In 2013, he merged with another practice to become part of Bibb Medical Associates, which is housed in a clinic at Bibb Medical Center, a 25-bed rural hospital in Centreville. He also serves as chief of staff at Bibb Medical Center.

2018 Subaru Outback And Legacy Earn IIHS Top Safety Rating For New Passenger-side Crash Test

The passenger side overlap crash test sends a vehicle into a barrier at 40 mph with just 25 percent of the vehicle's front end overlapping the barrier on the passenger side. It mimics what happens when the front passenger-side corner of a vehicle collides with another vehicle or with an obstacle such as a tree or utility pole. This test will be added to the IIHS crashworthiness evaluations for the 2018 TOP SAFETY PICK+ award.
The 2018 Outback participated in the first test group that included 13 midsize cars and was one of the top performers according to IIHS. The Outback's "Good" passenger-side rating also applies to the 2018 Legacy.

Subaru of America, Inc. announced today that the 2018 Crosstrek and WRX, when equipped with optional EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology, received the 2017 TOP SAFETY PICK award and when equipped with both EyeSight and LED Steering Responsive Headlights, received the 2017 TOP SAFETY PICK+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
The 2018 Crosstrek and WRX received the 2017 TOP SAFETY PICK award by achieving the highest possible rating of "Good" in the IIHS crashworthiness evaluations of front small overlap, front moderate overlap, side impact, roof crush, and rear impact as well as EyeSight receiving a "Superior" rating in the Institute's front crash prevention testing. The Crosstrek is an IIHS Top Safety Pick for six years running (2012-2017) and WRX for three years running (2015-2017).
